I’m glad to announce that I have another example that Monday isn’t the worst day of the week.
Yesterday was a very stressful day at work, but I started to get used to that already. As my day at the office was coming to an end I decided that I would like to go to some fitness classes to work the stress out. However, when I came home I changed my mind. I started preparing dinner and lunch for the next day. This process didn’t take that long and I still had some time left. so, what I did? No, I didn’t lie on the couch in front of a TV. Instead, I registered to TRX classes in a gym near my home ?
“TRX is a suspension training where you use ropes to train against your body weight”
Sounds scary? It is at first I admit, but it gets better and more fun every minute.
The class started with a warm-up (I felt tired after that already) and then the actual training for abs, back, triceps and biceps, all organised in intervals. In the middle of the workout I thought that my muscles will explode, but the instructor did everything she could to motivate me to continue.
The training was very intense and I thought that I will not be able to get out of bed today, but surprisingly I feel amazing today. My joints do not hurt and I feel a bit lighter (even though I trained my muscles). I also slept better today because I worked my stress out. Until today I thought that only a calm workout like yoga or pilates can make me feel relaxed and light, but I am really happy that I was wrong ? The fact, that I listened to loud music while fighting with my muscles and motivation gave me even more energy. I truly believe I am going to continue with this training. And, I can proudly say that the sports challange (described here) is another success ? YaY!
Hashimoto’s Warriors be careful
However, I have to say that this training may be discouraging for beginners. If you suffer from Hashimoto’s like me (or any other condition), the chronic fatigue can be an issue here. You may not be able to cope with the exhaustion at the beginning. If you are interested in this type of workout, take it easy, tell the trainer that you are a beginner and they will help you to moderate the exercises so that you will enjoy them and also feel the benefits. Don;t push yourself to anything that makes you uncomfortable. But, most importantly, do not give up! Remember that we are Warriors ?
Have a lovely rest of the week, and if you feel like it, leave a comment, share my post, visit me on instagram, twitter or facebook 🙂
